Probably the 'standard' PB-042AB, but you can write what I know about Unidens on the back of a postage stamp with a Sharpie.

Re: Mk1 Jackson Board.
It will be a PB-042AX
Depending on the age of it the last letter could be A-E

Silver , or black ?listner132 wrote:5 band President Jackson mk1
Anyway , as previously stated it'll be a 042 something . I've no idea what the differences are in the boards . Regardless , the AGC mod wasn't done in any of them , so it's always a good idea to do it .
Also . Is this the same m8 who you bought the S9 from ? If so , could you give us all his number so we can give him a calllistner132 wrote:Hi guys done a deal with my mate lastnight

1992 I think, made in philippines.
Does it have a 6 pin or 4 pin mic socket? At that date it could have either.

Re: Mk1 Jackson Board.
No matter what, the Jackson is a far better radio than the CRT 3900. A deal well done there.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!
Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

I don't have my file here that I use , but I think it's 2002 . I don't think they were producing Jackson in the Philippines in 92 . Didn't they start about 94/95 ? Anyway . Look at the date code on the PLL/Binary adders to make sure .

Depends whether you use the radio on AM or SSB
The Jackson is pretty rubbish on AM, where as most 3900s drift on SSB

I have had a 1990 Philippines radio with the PLL dated 1989, I think they moved to China and made 6 banders long before 2002

Re: Mk1 Jackson Board.
OK Simon . I might have my dates mixed up . I thought they were later . I have a lot of serial number stuff noted down back home , but I don't have access to it , so I'm a bit lost with out it . Saying that I thought 2002 was "025XXX" . Tim will know .

Re: Mk1 Jackson Board.
Just had a look through my pictures of radios I have sold, and I sold a 1997 Jackson (Label on top), Serial number starting 75.
It was a 6 bander with ASC fitted.
