hi guys i have been trying to get my silver eagle to work on my new ss 3900 with no joy..as far as i know it is wired correctly and i put in a new 9v battery but the audio is still very very low. makes no diffrence even when the vr on bottom of mic is turned both ways. Help please ?

sounds like the ceramic element is cracked or has a pin hole in it ...

Has the VR broken?

The one on mine looks very easy to break if you are hamfisted with a screwdriver.

Had this on one of mine a month or so back,it was the contacts.Out with the Servisol super 10 and lint free rag,a squirt and couple of minutes cleaning all good and working as at should.............................
