Would I be able to use it?
Apart from the electronics being a bit tired - could be sorted,
Car boot for £1.50 today beat up old Realistic mobile.
Case could do with a refurb and cables replacing especially the mic cable.
No I won't be getting rid of it if I do it up and can use it.

Can you use it? Yes of course, is it legal? Nope, are you bothered?

Wait for the next AM net and give it a go.
On the last one I managed to join I got a 130 mile contact on 4 watts with my Modulator on the roof.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Plugged into my PSU, 15W dummy Load fitted, and powered it up.
Everything lights up and no duff segments on the LED display. Controls could do with some switch cleaner. top half of case removed and no visible problems or mods on the pcb.
Need to set up the Marconi test set to check out modulation etc, and the frequency counter to check that out.
