Bought a spares or repairs President Richard - Not sure why, probably because it was cheap. Will see what it's like when it arrives.

I finally managed to find a good condition original bracket for my boxed MM2. Fair price too considering what I've seen them sell for.

I thought it might've been but thought it looked a bit too tall on the sides. Could've just been an optical illusion (or failing eysight ).

The MM2 brackets are quite tall on the sides compared to say a 148/360 bracket. It's marked as dispatched so it should be here soon. I'll post a better picture when it arrives. The Collector wrote: ↑17 Nov 2017, 21:28 I thought it might've been but thought it looked a bit too tall on the sides. Just this minute won this beauty for a fair bit lower than my maximum bid.

The bracket for my MM2 arrived today. Perfect fit.
It's a bugger when you have a nice boxed radio and someone's nabbed the bracket but left everything else.

Very nice. I could be doing with locating a couple. We need to find the elusive bracket graveyard.
Just where do all these brackets go anyway?

Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2017)
I guess on the older radio's (MM2/148/360/Lincoln etc) they could have been genuinely lost. But saying that I believe there are some very unscrupulous people out there who intentionally keep the brackets when selling the radio. They then sell the bracket afterwards as they know they can and do fetch silly money.
I think I was lucky to win the MM2 bracket for £6. One sold on eBay not long back for £21 on bids. Definitely worth forking out the money though as it's added more than £6 to the value of the radio.

Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2017)
A while ago, I bought a handheld with a damaged aerial. Having tried (and failed due to bad/dodgy descriptions) a couple of times to get a cheap one to nick the good aerial out of, I managed to buy a Harvard 40ch Wt2 for £10.50 including postage. It turned up with the aerial tip araldited on so it doesn't fully retract and the casings fully superglued together so I can't get inside it to get at the aerial without wrecking it. I was hoping to simply swap aerials and resell the wt2 with a rubber duck on saying the telescopic one was broken.
So much for that idea.
I think I'll give up.
Also, my rare blue squares-fronted "perfectly working and tested" £25 Commtel Homebase I also bought recently has got no RX audio, but I got a £20 refund to get it fixed.
I think they ought to change the auction site's name to crapbay
