[quote="The Collector"]..and with that cash plus more from other bits sold, I treated myself to this:
I can pull my Cobra from ebay now as I don't really need the cash from it having bought this already.[/quoN
Nice with the handles too
I had this 80ch version last week

Re: What CB/11m Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2017)
Had wanted a big copper/bronze homebase since seeing one in 1982 in a shop in Kingstanding, Birmingham. I think the one I saw was probably a Marko Excalibur, but it made my Fidelity homebase look boring in comparison.
This Petrusse 2002 version has 5 blocks on a PIC thingy, plus this has got the UK40, all fitted by the great man himself, Nick. I'm just making a shelf for it to sit on in the loftshack.
Coincidently, my first car, a Mk1 Escort was pretty much the same colour - "copper bronze metallic" and my copper-coloured Nato2000 was done in homage to these radios

I have a few radios on the way at the moment.
A job lot containing a Dirland 3900 (very early version) Superstar 3000, President JFK and Continental 6190 (whatever that is)
Also I have just bought a boxed 148GTL, which looks in really good condition.
Not bad for £60, it has the original mic, box, manual power cable etc.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

My GTL arrived today, just tried it on air and it works very well. It was sold as untested, so I am very happy.

mk1 and mk2 148 GTL-DX . Both found in Spain , which is a major miracle .

Yeah . They're not common here in Spain . 360FMs are . I found a mk1 148 GTL-DX a few years back here , but it had a UK eprom fitted , so it obviously started off in the UK . I've no idea about these 2 . The guy in Madrid who sold me them wasn't a Spanish national , so I'll need to take a look at them and see .

My Superstar 360 (No FM) I bought off eBay arrived today. It turns out the seller is a well respected member of this group, so it's one of those rare occasions that I didn't have to worry about a pile of crap turning up.
Working perfectly and in beautiful condition. Very happy indeed.
Cheers Drew!

Real quality made radio . Up there with the 148 GTL . I have 2 . One of them I modified myself to get the standard LO/MID and HI bands . The other one I have has a couple of binary adders to give it 5 bands .astradyne wrote:My Superstar 360

This one has mid, high and the vox part of the 10 metre band. Beautiful RX quality and great TX audio from the reports I've had.cb4ever104 wrote:Real quality made radio . Up there with the 148 GTL . It's the first time I've used/owned one of these and so far I'm mightily impressed.

The quiet receiver was the stand out for me. Quietest of all my 148/360 variants.astradyne wrote:This one has mid, high and the vox part of the 10 metre band.
