Zetagi BV131S or BV131 Difference please

Post by nimrod »

Hi I am returning to 11m after 30 years and I am looking forward to it especially SSB .
Question I have just bought a decent condition Zetagi BV131S ( I love valves'!) can anyone tell me what is the difference between a Zetagi BV131 and a BV131S ? mine has the "Syncron" logo on the front instead of the Zetagi logo, I could also do with the correct internal schematic in case I have to repair it mine has 4 switches of the front (HI/LO) (STBY) (AM/SSB) and (ON/OFF)

Cheers

Martin

Hi .

No real difference , except maybe a factory fitted fan at the bottom . At least my Syncron BV135S has the fan . Both amps have 1 x EL509 . The HI/LO option was added at some point down the line . If you are inputting more than 4W AM/12W SSB , then the switch should be on the LO setting to protect the amp .
