Seems like these Jentecs are a bit like Lotus Cortina Mk1s. There are more about now than were ever made.

"Components replaced, Tested AM FM"
That's a little vague to say the least. I know us rig doctors do not normally like to divulge things, but even so, it could have been a bit more descriptive.

Does the name of the vendor who carried out the work begin with a C?

I was thinking that. And created with the aid of a D.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

It's very likely that it is a COB1 converted by John Nugent or radio pete, but so what? Start it at 99p and see what the market deems it to be worth.

I'm collecting Black Spirit converted radios so I can flog them for silly money when he goes SK.

I'm still curious as to who done the work and what exactly was done to warrant the mention of a receipt? For something like this radio, that would be a major selling point if it's kosher.

I had the Stalker9fdx that had the Jentec board in it.This was done the same time and by the same lad around 1986,the lad who did the radio was in Sutton Coldfield nr Birmingham. I forgot his name ,maybe someone remembers him?The radio was also put from Super low to Super high so loads of stuff was changed to make the radio a good set.Like a fool I sold it not thinking anything about the Jentec connection,I stress mine was not a John Nugent radio just one of his boards.Cobraman ended up with the radio,he made a few videos of it as there's not many Stalker9fdx s like it.How I wish I had it now,the radio is about 12 miles away from me.The guy who has it hasn't a clue wat hehas, only it does a load of bands!!!
