I usually just change to a smaller tuning step, when I am close enough to the required frequency spyder3,but I know what you mean for ssb freebanding.
Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,

spyder3 = I found the L2 works far better on ssb with memory mode off,set to FR in the menu and press mem for a few seconds for store, with the channel change/vco depressed and the required step chosen, you can use the up/down buttons on the mic/CH up and down on radio/ch change/vco,and this makes the L2 far better than going up/down in steps ending with a 0 or 5 like the G2.This makes the L2 a better radio for what I want a CB to do ;)

Thank you,

I’ll try that.
I like Lincoln-2+, not so much noise compare to Grant-2, variable output power allows me to transmit from a few watts up to 450W on SSB (Texas Star 500). Good radio.

Actually there is no long range propagation here, US stations only. The last good QSO was a couple of months ago with 3SD100 on 27.555 USB.
No Europe, no Brazil – just N Carolina, Florida, Ohio etc on 27.385 LSB :(

Once the L2 is set up spyder3,it goes through the frequencies more like an hf set does, when using the up/down Ch change buttons on the mic,for each tuning step required,my L2 out of memory sits on 27.555 ;)

Not hearing much long dx at the moment on ssb, mostly Eu,but the short skip into 26/29/68/163 was running last few day's,29 on Ch19 Ukfm last night.Usually 1/13/14 heard here the most on Ssb.

Hi how did you manage to save 27.7812 in your lincoln, mine saves as 27.785

You have to change the setting in the menu from CH -(channel) to FR - (frequency) and store, and you can adjust the frequency using the span line under each of the digits that can be changed.

Sold the L2 V3 at the start of the year A.S,so don't have one infront of me to tell you how I done it.

But it is possible as I done it with a V1 aswell.

If you take the radio out of memory mode and change to FR in the menu, you will achieve frequencies ending in more than a 5 or 0 ?

If your radio is a + it will be on the front above the screen.
