I've heard that the Ham International stuff is just as competant as other SSB rigs when the iffy FM is cured.

Ron had a Ham International Multimode II (basically the same innards as a Jumbo) with the FM sorted out and UK40, and he regretted getting shut of it.

I am with Dirty_Harry regarding rigs though, I am a bit of a Uniden fan. My Stalker ST-9F-DX is a bit of an antique as far as electronic go, but it still kicks serious ass.

a rigs a rig, if the bloke the other end can hear you and you can hear them, who gives a **** ??

at least cybernet and uniden are better than any of todays reproduced inferior crap you can get..

Indeed if you have and scrap cybernet PTBM121 I can certainly find a bin/Home at my gaff at the moment. :)
