I wouldn't be too hasty, you might find the Stalker works better.

got a few hrs into the 148f and had a few issues tbh
no rx no tx ect
some one has volted the final :shock: she dead key at 0.5w and swings to 18w easy :D will put this back to std
a few dry joints later and removed a relay switching crystals,put in a 4 pin and removed the turbo echo board.
the clarifier swings 14kc and too touchy. i may make it max just over 10kc or put it back standard.
it works ok now.
but now its going to cost me to tidy it up. new bezel,faceplate,graphic,cases i have ready for her,
then comes the big question is it an ebay special or is it a keeper? if i keep her it would be rude not to do the normal get her banded and fm.
if i do the full monty will end up owing me about 230 ish.

does the stalker work better??? yes it does but its fugly :D :D :D

edit: just thought of something the st9fdx board in the 148f chassis . damn why didnt i think of that sooner {bnghd}

There is a solution for the Ugly looking but working well Staker.

Sell it and buy either a President Jack or president Mckinley, as they share the same board.

What board does the 148F use? Is it a Ranger type (3900 etc)
