Hi Variant,

I can't answer your question but I enjoyed reading this thread very much!

I had a look at your website but not sure if there is anything still there? I was wondering i any of you guys have anything about your equipment builds and modifications on the internet anywhere? I'd love to read more about what you are up to.

Well that all depends on whether you have access to Google or not...

Hi Variant!

Of course... I had been looking at MayhemFM's site when I posted that, somehow I confused you with him.

Thanks for the link. :) I'm just having a look at the basement-fm site now - very impressive!

I'm looking forward to seeing more once my account is active on the 35cm forum, although my dutch is very bad so I probably won't be posting a lot.

I'm curious, how strict are the authorities with pirate operating like this in NL? The impression that we get is that they do not care much. In the UK, they can raid your home and confiscate your equipment, although this does not happen much these days. Is it the same in NL?

Hi kr0ne

There very strict here ,,, but only on the REGULAR FM BROADCAST bands ..
The authorothies confiscate equipment on rair occasions , mostly you get a warningletter ...
If you don,t stop your transmissions after this warningletter the give you a fine witch can run up to 45 K euro. !!

The part off band where we reside is at this time of no interest , but in the near future they are activating LTE [ land based internet ] in close proximity of the freq,s we use so where thinking about moving higher in the band ...

Whe,ve opened a special topic on the forum , where you can drop al your questions en otherwise ...

Wow, this is interesting stuff. Didn't know it was going, apart from the Dutch interest in pirate broadcasting. Never thought of 2-way pirating with WFM. After a taste of WFM I can imagine that the narrowness of CB radio on NFM would be terrible!!

Could WFM on 35cms could be done in the UK? I think Ofcom (UK's PTT) is reallocating that part of the spectrum for GSM phone network.

Like BB, I'm in the west of the UK

Pardon indeed!!

According to urbandictionary.com, zorz means:
a suffix added to the end of words such as "rock" and the acronym of "lol". It takes the meaning of the word on which it is added to, to a higher level, and being more assertive.
It also says about lolzorz:
the nerd version of "lol"
 :ugeek:

So Purple Helmet, what is it about 35cm pirating that makes you chuckle?
