Pre-war BBC TV received in America

In 1938 a bit of tropo sent the low band VHF TV signals across the atlantic.

More likely F layer, not tropo at 50Mhz / distance.

Still happens today when the atmosphere is being co-operative, look for US Fire Dept pagers between 33.42 - 33.98 MHz (20 kHz channels). Most likely in the afternoon here.
