Not really posting in the correct place but closest I could think of. So my new home has very poor mobile signal and no mobile internet in certain parts of the house. has anybody had any experiences with mobile boosters ? I currently have an s4 mini on Vodafone and the other half has a s4 on talk mobile (vodafone)

Vodafone has sh*te coverage IMO. You'd be better off switching to another network.
You can get stuff like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-GSM-900MH ... 3f28431b20
Which work great if the yagi is pointed in the direction of your carriers mast.
but I don't think they are legal.

Also these repeaters can only hand up to a certain amount of calls; which is okay until other peoples phones start using your repeater.

Vodafone's like any network: great in some places (like the home counties), crap in others (where I live!). As I have no usable signal at all, I got a plug-in gizmo from Vodafone called a "SureSignal". This requires a) a broadband router and b) a 3G phone. I've had mine for 3 months, it is rock-solid stable and I get a full signal throughout the house. The rub is that it costs £100: a big load of money when they ought to be giving you a decent service anyway. On the upside, as I have an "unlimited minutes" contract, I haven't touched the landline for 3 months and the saving is appreciable. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I have just redone my contract with Vodafone (2weeks ago) lol for 24 months! I have heard about the voda sure signal and that looks the way to go.

SureSignal sounds good to me, I think only authenticated handsets can connect to it as well.

With Vodafone then the suresignal thing is definitely the way to go. They are now using outdoor ones in remote areas with no cell tower coverage so people can still use their mobiles (only works with Vodafone though...)

The other option is to install a GSM repeater with an outdoor aerial as suggested above. Do not waste your money on the 99p stick-on "signal boosters" on ebay

I just bought a little sticker 'phone booster' from the pound shop for a quid. its not the best but it is easy to stick on under the batt and it does improve the signal somewhat

It doesn't improve the signal at all.
