It will go back with your Yahoo email address showing unless you go into the Yahoo Mail options and set your "reply to" address to [email protected] - or if you want to use it all the time then I'm sure there's an option to set your "from" address to your tangomike.net addy (so this shows instead of the Yahoo Mail email address).

Yes, it's a one way redirection but you can set your "reply to" address so that it goes out on your emails so when someone replies to your messages they automatically send to [email protected]

You can also configure things like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express so that your tangomike.net email address is shown on all emails you send out (just replace your ISP's email address with the Tangomike one).

Why not use something like windows live with your custom domain?

You just need to alter your domain MX record to point to the microsoft server and away you go (instructions on site). I used for my own site, one address for website (www.xyz.co.uk) and all emails (eg [email protected]) go to my live account (xyz.co.uk is just an example!)

That way when you reply it will come from your tangomike address. I believe google have a similar offering but i'm a ms fan.

Oh, and your solution would only work for Simon.

There are hundreds of email addresses, all being redirected to individual TM members. Having Simon's MX record redirect wont help all the other people who are receiving redirected emails. They need to do as suggested earlier:

It was just a thought as I've just done something similar myself, something that needs to be done before the 'cats out the bag' sort of thing.

I dont see the point in setting a "reply to" address, as it's gunna come back into your mailbox anyway. The only reason you'd do it is to hide your private address, but you can't do that anyway, so I dont see the issue.

The main idea behind a re-direct being that you give your "anonymous" tangomike email out over the air (Keeping it away from Busby and his friends), and you only show your real address to those whom you wish to reply to, IE verivied contacts.

Simon - Looking forward to getting a mini-site created. I have been giving the tangomike.net address out over the air for years, as it has the QSL information on the bottom. Another good way to easily to QSL info out there is to have it on your forum signature (as mine is below). Some sections of the forum are public and the web crawlers index them accordingly, meaning I can tell the station to simply do a quick google of either my callsign, or even MrWeetabix to bring up my QSL info quickly and easily.

It's something I've been meaning to look into for a while. Once I have the technical solution in place to administrate this with little effort then we could maybe open it up to a few people who would like a TM mini-site. It's been on the cards for a while and something I'd love to do for the group but as with most things, time and money

I'd create a post in a non-member's area of the forum, I'd state my details on there etc, asp-per any mini site. Any pictures I wanted could be externally hosted etc, I could also link onto any other personal websites I had. This thread would be locked and only allowed to be edited by me and/or Admin. You could then set up a FWD rule from www.tangomike.net/26TM175 to the actual thread location?

Probably a bit of a clart-on, but may be a quick way to impliment a mini-site with imimal setup.

They've already written down your callsign, to QSL just add .com.
