:D Not just hills are great for radio this is a place in france which is characterised by its salt marshes .Wigton Bay in SW scotland is very similar but I am sure there are other areas in the UK perhaps along the river thames or near morcambe? Definately the Norfolk Broads. ;)
I would imagine that many flat areas are also perfect for radio eg Sailsbury plain

Think you'll need to have patience, as there seems to be a few issues to sort out. A location thats more than halfway down the UK, first appeared in the North section, and then got moved to the North East section. I guess it either needs to find its way into the South East section, or else there might be a new "Mid South" section coming (A bit like Mid west in the USA....) for it to find a rightful home in.

Most maps I see at work split the British Isles logically as:

Scotland,
Wales,
Northern Ireland,
Republic of Ireland,
North West and I.O.M,
North East,
E.Midlands,
W.Midlands
South,
South East and East Anglia,
South West and Channel Islands.

It gets around any 'political' stuff and everybody's usually happy.

But the British Isles and the UK (of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) are somewhat different beasts - The former includes the republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, to name but a few, whilst the latter doesn't. Great Britain, meanwhile, doesn't include any of the islands - Just the big island that stretches from John o Groats to Lands End (give or take a few discrepancies here and there....). The UK is the most encompassing, stretching all the way up to over 60 degrees North. So whilst 54 and a half degrees North might be North of England, its not even halfway up the UK! ;)

Due to a quirk of geography, I can lay claim to being a north of Scotlander, and living in the North of the UK. But thats due to living near an extremetity. Pretty much the same as someone in Cornwall can claim to be in the South of England and in the south of the UK / Great Britain / The British Isles etc. If I lived in Gretna, I could claim to live in the South of Scotland, but think I would be pushing it to also claim I lived in the North of the UK! ;)

The UK is a political union of countries and provinces - GB on the other hand is a geographical description of our location.

The Isle of White is part of the UK and GB.

His site is no longer published!
It was a massive task to undertake to be honest as there are thousands of hill tops throughout the uk.
Then you have to sort the information into geographical location. He also did not specify what method of location information he required, National Grid Reference, or Latitude & Longitude ? name of Hill?
A Bigger project than first thought maybe?

This looks ideal for a 'wiki', get the submitter to do the work.
