Can,t DX on 11
Just back to DX after a long spell off and was enjoying a few contacts but it seems a local Amateur who has all the exams and licencse,s is intent on keeping people from dx'ing . He transmits a constant key up on 27.555 but on fm with a very low output so it only blocks the local area at about a 20+ signal which bleeds into 27.535 to 27.585 so all incoming dx can,t be heard . This goes for days on end but very occaisionally is turned off , but today is a sunday weather is great looking forward to some DX but can't !!! Any Ideas

find out who he is and report him to illegal transmitting on 11mtrs..!!
there are other bands you can use 26.285, mids etc..
if he is causing that much trouble he must be close, and if it's 20db and using low power he's a neighbour.!!

Find out where he is and push a needle through the Coax and short it out. After an hour or so problem solved....

Re: Can,t DX on 11
Dare I ask an obvious question... How do you know he's an amateur? If he is, do you know what's triggered this response/behaviour? Seems a bit OTT for someone to do.
Personally, I would think the most an amateur would do is listen. To go out their way to block the frequency with a low level carrier seems rather strange.
Perhaps there is more going on here than meets the eye (or ear)...

Bear in mind that his carrier will not stop other stations abroad hearing your call.
So just include a QSY frequency in your call.
