Tango Mike DX-Pedition Callsign

Post by MrWeetabix »

Hello everyone.

Again, me and Simon have been chatting and I thought it would be good if we could have a recognised Tango Mike DX-Pedition callsign for our members to use if they head out to the hills or off to foreign lands etc etc. The call sign could be "booked" by users for use on a particular date and we could also have some associated QSL cards designed and printed for use as well.

The callsign would be division-independant and I thought maybe something like...

TM1-DX

I just thought this would be a good way to get some regonition for those of you who head up the hills and make an extra-special effort to go/p in a big way!

Does this sound like a good idea chaps? Looking for feedback before we press on.....

TM1-DX is open for bookings over the Super Sunday weekender, we have one instance per division, so first come, first served, if no takers, I'll dust her down for the first outing! I'll have to get some cards knocked up for use. :-)

PM your interest and I'll post users names and details on this thread. Cheers

Happy for you to use 14TM000 or a Variation, like 14TM-LOTA (or the LOTA assignment number)

Just let us know.

I am sure we can arrange something! :-)

I'll try and think of a good day/weekend and we'll see if we can drum-up some interest

Any new on QSL Cards please moderators, started a thread back in May asking about these and as its now Oct.
A decision either way would be good to end the debate.

As the whole concept of QSL card production is a PITA, and a potential risk of Simon getting lumbered and out of pocket, as most people have decent colour printers these days capable of knocking out 6x4 high quality photos, why not just provide the artwork for peeps to make their own as and when they need them?

The artwork purists amongst you must forgive these, as you can probably tell, it was a 5 minute effort just to show what I mean.
