Multiple sources say that Warner Publishing had to do a second print run this month, the 1st edition was so
full of spelling mistakes.

Re: Practical Wireless
Warner are sorting that out by doing away with the printed version of their magazines, due to coincide with WH Smith becoming WH Post Offices selling 3 for 2 offers on chocolate boxes..

Re: Practical Wireless
I can see PW turning into nothing more than a flyer to insert in Readers Digest soon for all it's worth.

Re: Practical Wireless
Must admitt a flick thru it in the local smiths is more than enough for me, occasionally if I am going on holiday will pick it up regardless off content just for something to read whilst away. my days off spending on radio / car and bike magazines are well over, the info is all there on the net now anyway !
Even Radcom gets a quick browse once delivered every month at the readers adverts and just one or two other articles off interest and put in the collection, no doubt only to be thrown out in the next major shack clean up !!

Re: Practical Wireless
Radcom...well not quite as bad as PW but there's some production foibles that I don't like.
The front covers are often quite basic and austere.
It's like the editor hasn't got a full blown DTP package and is bodging up some basic covers.
I've seen better artistic skill in 1970's school PTA newsletters !
And then there is the spasticated "split font" syndrome on the article titles.
The use of different or small fonts, or different colours within the same title really pisses me off.
It seems to have eased off a bit lately, but..
