Skills Night takes place at 7pm on Monday, April 15 in Danbury Village Hall, Essex, this free event is open to anyone with an interest in any aspect of radio.
Hosted by the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society Training Team, Skills Nights are Inter-Club events attended by amateurs and SWL's from across Essex and beyond.
They provide an opportunity to try something new, share ideas, get help and advice, and socialise with others interested in the hobby.
The provisional agenda this month includes:
• Training Team Free Raffle - The Club table welcomes arrivals/visitors, Membership Renewals and Course Enquiries. All attendees are given a free ticket as they sign in at the door.
• Demos: USB Antenna Analyser Kit and VFO Kit being shown by Geoff M0YJF
• Patch leads: Getting connected and other soldering issues with Tom 2E0EUM
• Club Table: Pauline M0XPK will be on the Club table to welcome arrivals/visitors, Membership Renewals, Course Enquiries etc.
• Sales: Bargains! - Table Top Sale
• Essex CW Club Dean G4WIQ and Rob M0KCP with Morse Appreciation (get signed off for your Foundation Practical's with a Qualified Tutor), or learn more about Morse
• Post it Board: Got a problem with your radio equipment that needs resolving? Post It!
• The Quiz Fun Teaser Quiz, with Murray G6JYB Or come for a get together and a natter!
The activity list is subject to change and availability.
Training/Exams: In other rooms at Danbury Village Hall will be:
• Intermediate Practical's with Peter M0PSD
• Foundation Practical's with Elliott 2E0JSE
• Exams: In parallel our Exam room will host a Foundation exam session with Dorothy M0LMR and Richard G7OED as invigilators. We wish all the best to the candidates.
Refreshments: Tea and coffee are on offer too, thanks to to Jacky M6OJG et al in the kitchen.
