Essex Skills Night Monday March 18

Skills Night takes place at 7pm on Monday, March 18 in Danbury Village Hall, Essex, this free event is open to everyone with an interest in radio communicatons.

Hosted by the Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society Training Team, Skills Nights are Inter-Club events attended by amateurs and SWL's from across Essex and beyond.

They provide an opportunity to try something new, share ideas, get help and advice, and socialise with others interested in the hobby.

The provisional agenda this month includes:
• Training Team Free Raffle - All attendees get a free ticket as they sign in at the door
• Essex CW Club: Dean G4WQI and Rob M0KCP with Morse Appreciation (Get signed off for your Foundation Practicals with a Qualified Tutor), or learn more about Morse
• Radio & Exams: Kevin 2E0FEQ showing and using the IC 7300 and IC 5100. He will also be setting up the new Invigilators Laptop and Dongle for the On-Line Exams
• Leads: Tom 2E0EUM will have Patch Leads made to order
• Club table: Pauline 2E0EUH Membership and Course Enquiries
• Bumper Tabletop Sale: The sale of a SK Shack. Transceivers, Receivers, Recorders and numerous other pieces of equipment and Components.
• Post-it Board: Anyone wishing to sell equipment or have a problem that needs resolving, put it on the Post-it Board. There is a wealth of knowledge out there.
• Antennas-1: Geoff M0YJG will show and tell a 6m Dipole
• Antennas-2: Elliott 2E0JSE Foundations Practicals - Station Build and Dipole & Analyser
• Practicals: Jamie 2E0EYG in the Hawkins room with Intermediate Practicals
• Exams: In parallel our Exam room will host another exam session - our best wishes for it
• The Quiz: A Fun Teaser Quiz - questions by Murray G6JYB

The activity list is subject to change and availability.

Tea and coffee are on offer too, thanks to our team in the kitchen.
