I was wondering, since a handheld (lets say one that has been left standing on a wooden table) is not grounded in any sense, does it output a unbalanced signal? If I plug a coaxial to it and then coaxial to a dipole, would the shielding of the coaxial have zero currents?
Or does an unbalanced output simply mean that the center of the coaxial is simply going above and below the ground level of the circuitry while the shielding is kept at the ground level of the circuitry?
I suspect that the latter is true.
