Acquired today off a local Truck driver, he had bought it of his work colleague for £40 then decided this "CB" was to big for his cab
In superb clean condition & in full working order, also has the FM board fitted.
Swapped for...wait for it... a boxed Colt 295 CB radio that he wanted off me rather than £40

Re: What Ham Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2018)
My buys over the past couple weeks.
I bought a Alinco VHF FM Transceiver DR-135 cost me less than a tenner from a car boot sale, nice and clean and in good working order.
I also bought a box with a load of bits in for 30 quid and inside were a Motorola DP3400 and a Hytera PD785 I could not believe it so I'm chuffed with those.
I probably wont find another bargain for a while but I'm always keeping a look out in the weekend markets and car boot sales.

Re: What Ham Radio Stuff did you buy today? (2018)
I got myself another Hytera PD785 that was taken out of service, although this one is a bit battered up with a worn keypad but I got it very cheap and seems to work after loading my codeplug into it I paid 20 pounds for it.
I need to sort out the belt clip but other than that it works.
I now have two of these.

I sorted out the belt clip, I made a new spring for it and I had to re-thread the screw holes as somebody had used the wrong screws to screw the belt clip to the radio but its all good now.

I bought this lot yesterday, all fully working & for £60 posted, the item at the back next to the FT-290 is a 2m to 6m transvertor that connects to the FT-290R.
