smart tuning an antenna mast ?

Post by bigbloke »

Hi All,

Garden works at Chez BB are nearing finishing so I'm starting to think about HF antennas again.

I have a windom that runs along the property border but has to be "bent around" in a "J" to make it fit.

Obviously I need support masts at the bottom of the garden, but I was given on a "you do things wth radio?
this was on my new house" basis a cb silver rod - useless to me except for the base sections

anyone ever attempted to resonate their antenna support in the following manner?:

If so, what worked best ? how many turns > how long a resonator ? what frequency coverage did you achieve with it ?

Many thanks in advance

Regards

BB
