I'm getting really bored with the level of utter crap I see reported as news these days, from the various amateur radio sites.

Every other "story" is something about encouraging youngsters again, announcements about crappy log book software updates,
"ham academies", contest "universities",worked all local chip shop days.

Never any real news at all, no reports of anything tangible or technical.

Latest joke is a local who now believes that he can predict HF propagation variations to the pollen count.

What a load of old crap !

Has our hobby really come down to this level ?

Yeah, gone are the days when RSGB Ltd Executives get caught with their fingers in the till and xxRS members are outed for having a threesome with the Chairmans wife, oh for the good old days.

You should see some of the bullpois chuntered out on CB forums. Some absolutely astonishing drivel.

The radio idiots have always been here, in all the nooks and crannies of our hobby. The only difference is now we get to read more of it thanks to the internet.

There are twots everywhere, but by and large T1 gives us a dose of non-discriminatory radio chat.

As TM1 does seem to be populated 97.5% by pretty sound minded folk (imho) perhaps some one could dig out some of the carp mentioned by the good folk above, and post it on here

I think we're blessed to have some really decent members here........and Admiral

in all seriousness, I can honestly say that TM1 is home to a great bunch of people, helpful and always with a good dose of humor to-boot. I don't really bother with Facebook for radio stuff, it can be an utter clusterf**k when people arent set right on the crap they spout.

The Facebook page is intended as a landing spot for Facebook users to find us, not somewhere for new content. I stated that at the outset. I update as/when I have time or feel it's needed.
