Okay, took my full licence in 1981 and got the ticket for 2 metres. Then later on obviously all bands. That was a LONG time ago.I do freeband once in a while having just got back into the (bad) habit. My question is,I have just purchased a nifty handheld which operates on 144-148 Mhz and 70 cm.I think you know which one I am on about.Question is this.A lot has changed since I had my old Trio TR2300 so how the hell do I program the new rig?Or can I operate by knowing the repeater frequencies?Needs the access tone which it does have so can I still go old school and find the repeater direct? :wtf:

The intrawebby thing makes it a lot easier these days

The Trio won't be a lot of use as it has 25kc steps and no CTCSS, only a 1750 tone.

Also make sure to reactivate your licence if it's lapsed
