Kenwood ts590sg. Extended tx

Trying to find a site or posting 're widebanding tts590sg....ive found how to for "s" mmodel.which apparently is r900 resistor but not if same for the ts590sg...and pointers appreciated...

The MARS mod for the Kenwood TS-590(SG) is the same as for the TS-590(S). In both radios simply remove resistor R-900 (zero ohms) on the Control board.

have you done this yourself simon and if so is this part of radio on the underneath or on top of rado before i open it up ??? cheers simon

Underside of the radio and if you do the mod just lift one edge of component up so not contact. Then if need repair easy to attach. I modded 2 for people here, not mine. I got Info off Kenwood in USA about the modification.

Under R900 is a trace on other side of board be careful not to damage this (I almost did)
