PME question

Post by ollyno1uk »

Hi everyone

I recently moved house. I set up my rig and hammered in an earth rod. However I then found I have PME electrics.

I have disconnected the ground rod from my radio but I don't know what to do now and whilst it is made clear on all licensing courses that it is something dangerous I find no real information on what to do.

My options so far seems to be to not have the rf earth or get an electrician to bond the rf earth to consumer unit which is a distance away or try and convert away from PME.

There must be others in the same situation so if anyone can advise it would be appreciated!

Thanks

Olly
