TYT MD-380

Post by DodgeGuy1110 » 09 Jan 2016, 19:23

Hey everybody! I'm new to Ham world... I recently purchased my first radio :) Now I'm trying to program it and seem to be having issues with the software... When trying to read from radio I'm getting an error saying the USB cable is occupied or not attached... Has anyone had this problem or am I doing something wrong??? Thanks!

are you using the cable drivers found online? most of them are rubbish and don't work, I can't attach the proper driver as its to big for this site at 2.12mb, if you think you may have the wrong driver then let me know and i'll upload it somewhere.

Windows 7, 8 and 10 are painful with these drivers, and continually reload the latest ones - which are the ones that don't work with the non-genuine prolific drivers. The Vista drivers work well when you re-install them, but the pain of doing this frequently annoys me. I didn't get any driver to work with Windows 10 on the dodgy versions. The real prolific chips are fine.

ive removed the manuals and crap from the folder and tm1 will now accept the upload, this is the official driver for windows7, I have no idea if it works for any other windows version, but I can guarantee it works for 7 32 and 64, remove the old drivers before installing this one.

My 380 will upload and download when the radio is just switched on normally, no need to do the hold down ptt and top button and switch on stuff.
