I have two of these and on the whole, they are good heavy duty switches. My only complaint is on mine at least, there is an air gap between the centre pin and outer ring and one of the pins split on me. I've yet to look at replacing the socket. Other than that, they work well.

At long last I managed to pick up another Icom 703 after foolishly selling my last one 3 years ago ( and regretting it ever since ) bought it from a trusted operator at my local Ham club for £300 so pleased with that. I've had some great comments on my audio but I've noticed that the internal ATU is not as forgiving as on my last 703 ? ( not an issue as I use an external tuner as well )

In an attempt to reduce the dreaded PLT at my QTH.
Made my Wimo in Germany.

Intending to slot this in between my Welbrook loop and my splitter so that I can attempt to phase out the noise on shortwave.
It has a PTT switch should I wish to use it with a Transceiver but I reckon this will be ok for rx. Amateur Bands are on the whole unaffected.

Got me a uv-5 too at the weekend . Really pleased with it although the transmit audio on 70cm is low. Yes have checked it's not on "narrow " The driver for the program cable was a b***er to be accepted by win 10 too. But, for the money, you can't go wrong .

Very pleased too with the telephone help received from Steve at Moonraker.

I bought a faulty Alinco DR-135 VHF transceiver for a tenner, it had no power but with some fault finding and a simple repair with my soldering iron it powered up and kicked in to life. Its receives air band too, all seems to work perfectly now

Good work, £10 is a steal, even if it was knackered you'd get more back in parts.

It would be interesting to know what you think of the airband feature StormShadow, I have owned a lot of this style set over the years that chuck in airband RX with 2m or 2/70 sets, but I have found all of them to date to be very average at best on airband RX.
Some have 'sudo-AM' that sounds fuzzy, and some just lack sensitivity on the band.
