can anyone confirm for me what frequencies are still active as of october 2012 ? my scanner will be arriving this week pro34 nice piece of kit, if i find anything with it i will post when i get chance

can anyone confirm what is still active ? im not getting a peep out here and i arnt that far from driffield, maybe its my crappy standard Aeriel lol ill do a report when i get a mag mount

Heard the eyms repeater today here in Middleton on the wolds frequencies are
input: 172.312
output: 167.512
also heard something else just outside market weighton im only guessing it was either york council or HMP full sutton
frequencies for them are
full Sutton: 166.100
york council: 453.650

if you mean by Not hearing any think by police, EMS, Fire they have longe gone but you can try the old Fire ground radio you can find actvitiy on there from time to time Just look on this site and Fire ground channles are well listed
if you are new to the hobby you just have to keep scanning to you find chaanle post on here and we all try and work out what it is.
thanks, also picking up a frequency i found on here as Tyne and metro trains but it clearly isn't that as im nowhere near there lol maybe someone else using same frequency, no call signs or names sounded like a factory or something ?

i can pick up these two just about where i live, ive no idea what they are
453:8375 voice with what sounds like talk permit tones
453.100 again no idea possibly factory
181.9850 sounds like lorry drivers, possibly soanses or tippers as they were talking about tachographs (locations from york to brid)
179.8350 sounds a lot like the above maybe base or repeater
feel free to add, im slowly building up a list of whats active and what isn't but there isn't a lot about where i live, most active one is the buses i posted above
