Got 164.950 C103.5 and 168.31875 C103.5. Note it's NOT 168.325. Both appear to be airbourne and there are 2 planes circling the race according to flightradar24. Waiting for them to get a bit closer to me and start searching other freqs.

164.9500/160.5000 - Constant carrier French
168.31875/173.38125 - Main channel. Warnings/Rider positions English then repeats in French
168.38125/173.31875 C107.2 - French also possible airbourne
455.21875 C71.9
455.39375 C88.5 - French
455.45625 C107.2 - French probably on ground (weaker)
456.3875 C88.5

You are correct. Previously posted 168.325 is indead 168.31875. Was just about to post that correction myself. Comes across with same strength on freqs 6.25 lower and higher.

455.39375 has just been reported as 455.400 on another group heard in Lancs.

Def airbourne. Could hear bikes leaving Scarbro from Cumbria on Fri.

Currently at LBA waiting for a flight and race came very close earlier but nothing on those copy and pasted 171.xxx freqs. Was the same last year.

Yeah had 168 and 164 all day airbourne repeaters. Think the ground stuff dropping out of range for me now as they head towards Sheffield. Very pleased to find those elusive inputs to the repeaters though!

Not sure about engines but 2 aircraft overhead thats for sure. One was doing wide circuits as FL120 and the other tighter at FL100.

Wow, I was driving over a ridge near Telford today and heard 164.950, as described, constant carrier and French, must have been a lift on today!

Nice. They were running some power though and at 10000 and 12000 feet thats going to go a long way. Couldn't even see the damn planes in the clouds but could hear them and i'm informed by someone who went to the actual route that there were helicopters flying at low level as well. So they may account for some of the 455 freqs. Interesting day in all.

And just to note. Nothing on the 172.xxx suspect freqs. Nothing on the Polycon 419 freq. Found inputs to 164 and 168 (high power inputs). At least 3 OB freqs which you would expect. And UK Light and short time hire as you'd expect. Didn't spend much time on the latter 2 as they are what they are. The 455's I couldn't tie up any inputs which is why I suspect they were lower power direct to the helicopters but I wasn't close enough to get them. Whatever power the inputs on VHF were running its was high as 160.5 was active still well after the planes disappeared at the finish and I don't get anything from Sheffield way. 164.95 seemed to come from one plane and 168's from the other as there was a 10 min gap between flights heading back north and 164 came back into full strength and faded then the other 10 mins laters. Make of it all what you will but at least there is still some analogue being used for these type events.

Appreciate your reports. Good to find the inputs. Assume its the French band plan/splits.

Transmitting from 10,000ft and 12,000ft is going to allow the signal to travel some distance. That must be about the limit for an Islander?

As I have said I was able to pick up the 164 and 168 freqs from Cumbria on Friday and as I have now realised even had one 6.26khz off freq. Yesterday receiced the 160.500 input freq from 60 miles away. So strong I didnt realise it was the input freq at first.

Can go one better than our friend in Telford as I ended up in Dublin tonight and could receive the 164 and 168 freqs from sea level before the planes landed! Sheffield to Dublin must be a record?

Think you are correct that the 455 freqs were the heli's. My school boy French not good enough to work out what they were saying however so unsure of use.

455.21875 in English but couldnt figure out the use either.

Medics on UK Gen but didnt catch the tone.

An interesting day indead.

So it was an anti gravity "lift"!
