Sat between Wakey n Barnsley.... 449.400 & 449.3125 busy with outrider comms... 169.0125 was also busy with what sounded Like German outriders..
Gotta say some of the outrider's language left much to be desired..was like ch19 on mad monday...

thelad, good suggestion it does look like a DJ-X7 scanner.

I think its an Alinco DJ-C6E 144/430MHz FM Dual-Band HT as these have been reportedly used along with the Alinco DJ-C5T, obviously due to their small size - Will have to be broadbanded before use I assume - picture below of Alinco DJ-C6E:

Last Alinco dual band handie i had was crap once widebanded... Soon as it was out of band it went deaf.... Wonder how the newer ones are?

Cheers for all the information, the race goes past my bungalow. Around 100yds away on stage 2.Iam in the village of Bardsey,just south of Wetherby so I should get the radio full on.

These are last year's comms, so could be different this year mate. best to try these and if no joy, have a scan around :-)

When TDY came past us and around Barnsley 449.4 and 169.0125 were heavily used complete with bad language by the civvie motorcycle outriders....
