The frequency is Newcastle ops but I always hear rescue and air ambulance call ups to the Newcastle RVI & to James cook hospital.
So definately worth monitoring. I aren't to sure about the rest of the uk though, Hope it helps out other members.

Hi

130.650 also used at the LGI. Seems that ground staff have airband handies.

At James Cook Hospital the security UHF channel is used. There is a operations document on the web issued by the hospital that even shows the tone.

When a SeaKing comes in the local CoastGuard volunteers attend to provide coms even if it is not a sea based operation as well as the Fire Brigade to provide fire cover.

130.65 Iis used because the air ambulance helicopters are all leased from Multiflight in Leeds. I would be intersted to hear what channel the Armyair choppers use when they go to LGI.

So LGI Staff have airband licences for ground info? Wow NHS must have money to burn. YAA own both aircraft, Multiflight just have the maintenance contract and they sub contract that out down south to 902 maintenance teams.

"So LGI Staff have airband licences for ground info?" NO.......the Yorkshire Ambulance service does the comms due to having Inter-Agency licences for emegencies. Also the National Air Ambulance Plan caters for different medical air ops to be handled by the ambulance people outside of UK Airdromes.
