456.8875 MHz - ????

Post by lincs_radio »

Came across this Voice Channel today while preforming a quick search of the UHF Bands... Checked the WTR with no luck, and searched the interweb.
Its Simplex, not Repeater based.
The only tie up to this frequency ive seen so far is that its registered as one of the 'London 2012 Olympic Delivery Authority' frequencies. What exactly that means im not sure so hoping that someone can shed some light, cheers...

That's an interesting one. It used to be used by Siemens VDO under a Business Radio (Public Mobile Data, Non-Voice) licence, and was then at one time shown licenced to the ODA. Both licences were duplex.

I'm a radio armature who made the switch to ariel none-bio

I'll continue to monitor...
I could be wrong of course, but it sure sounded simplex due to the different signal strengths and noise level between each side of the conversation. Unless of course i was listening to the Input, making the Duplex 462.3875 i believe... will monitor both.

Another quick search comes up with:
