i need some help can you help?

Post by kathuk »

i have recently brough a scanner ( ubc 355 clt ) but haveing awful trouble trying to programme numbers in i am not an expert. but would like some basic instructions i even find the manual complected. must be my age i had an handheld scanner many years ago and it was so simple no trouble with it at all.but this new one i cant get my head round it.if any one can help just a basic guide i would be so pleased. there is one other thing id like to know why do some scanners have 6 digit &some have 7 mine has 6 i see most of the frequencies have 7 digits does this matter.

Though this might be more helpful as it actually relates to your scanner:

6 or 7 digits don't matter, it'll be close enough. It's not a phone number.
KEY : = channel/stud | ~ = CTCSS/DCS | ^ = transmitter site | ¯ = overhead | * = trunked
