West Midlands Ambulance Pager Frequencies

Post by Andyman »

Hi All. I have been using a R820T dongle with SDR# and PDW to decode pager frequencies around 153.350 and 153.325.

153.350 seems to be POCSAG and shows a lot of activity from many hospitals and ambulance services from Manchester to Cornwall but doesn't include the WMAS.
153.325 appears is FLex and has a variety of users but does not appear to be any ambulance services.
These two signals are the strongest in my area which is Newcastle-under-lyme.

I was just wondering if anyone knows which pager frequency WMAS operate on?

Many thanks

NWAS use Airwave, so maybe WMAS do too.

Thanks, that would make sense! Ah well thats the end of that!
I drove by the UHNS yesterday with close call and picked up another strong page frequency which was 153.025 if any one is interested. Seems to be a few ambulances in ireland, bornemouth, Lancashire.
