Welcome! to the SDR RTL world!! you wont regret it haha, as for DMR in your area, if you look around the 453.000 mhz and upwards you will can generally spot the DMR beacons and signal activity, if your using DSD+ once your locked onto a DMR freq it will then start showing data in the console window, and then talk groups etc etc and providing its not encrypted you will then hear the audio :D good luck and enjoy!

it is easy when you got it all setup .....as for the antenna that comes with the dongle.... ive heard they are really weak at finding signals.... get yourself an external or a decent magmount antenna that covers a wideband .... 25-1500mhz normally about 35 in maplin? i use a standard mag mount antenna in my loft and that pulls in loads.....try the stick antenna you have and see what results you get... no harm in trying...

gerald123 - regarding mototrbo stuff for rhondda your better off looking around the 453.000mhz upwards in SDR# you will spot the mototrbo waveform and capacity plus beacons easily...hope this helps? if your stuck let me know and ill try to help out....

in SDR# can you see any beacons or blips in the waterfall.... the capacity plus systems are rife! so id be surprised if there is no Trbo up rhondda....how ever how have you got SDr# talking to DSD? virtual cable? let me know :D
