Newport City council - changes

Post by bigbloke »

Hi All,

It seems that a lot of the city council technically assigned licences have been augmented and a few systems have changed channels .
I'm working on the "whose where" now but these are the current set of council frequencies assigned [source: ofcom WTR]

165.125 no traffic
165.1875 (old storenet - this has moved to UHF DMR) now tbd
165.650 no traffic
166.0625 no ctcss - 5 tone signalling . this is now the binmen, moved here from 166.175 - they are being plagued by a squeaky it seems
166.150 no traffic
166.175 formerly the binmen - now no traffic
168.850 no traffic
169.2125 ctcss 162.2 - still investigating
445.5625 llanwern comp (formerly hartridge) havent heard this but suspect they are still using UK simple UHF
446.3000 ctcss 151.4 this is still Tredegar House staff
447.7875
453.175 ctcss 67.0 - C/S "capital" - parking enforcement
453.225 beechwood park (???) obliterated by new digital constant carrier
453.975 used to be used at the civic centre
456.675 used to be the capital car park - which has been demolished - now not in use. seems the users have moved to 453.175
459.800 CTCSS 88.5 museum / library / art gallery - John Frost Square

hopefully we will fill the gaps in the coming weeks

regards

You may find that is actually "Capita" - a well known bunch of parking parasites.
KEY : = channel/stud | ~ = CTCSS/DCS | ^ = transmitter site | ¯ = overhead | * = trunked

definitely capital .Its on the licence and it was the former callsign of the local parking management

named after the capital car park , now demolished to make way for a new shopping precinct
