Random or specific contacts?

Post by Greyhound »

Do the majority of CBers use CB for fun (random contacts etc.) or for contact with specific people?

I want it for random contacts, but from what I hear, most people just want it for contact with each other (known friends) :?

Also, I just scanned on the CB band for 15-20 mins and I didn't hear a thing :?

Hi
Yes most of us do tend to use it for contacting known friends, however we also welcome new friends.

Since CB was near dead at one point it would be to all our advantage to talk to each other and anyone else that is willing to join in, Go on give it a go.

Plus at the moment the Skip is good so international calling is commonplace.

LONG LIVE CB & CB'ers

I've been offered an old rig for free from a friend of a friend, but I don't know if the rig's so old that it's an illegal one :?: :?

Also, what's this I've heard somewhere about them stopping CB?

Surely it's not going to become illegal again? :?
New to all this - very little technical knowledge :?

No it's not going to be illegal. In fact, you wont need to even apply for a licence soon! :-)
