T1 Net ?

Post by troutboy » 27 May 2006, 15:02

All feedback to this would help, it may be a silly idea but it would be nice if we could all have a T1 net on 27mhz's on a certain day of the week or something.

We could arrange a day, time and frequency and meet on a regular basis.

Of course conditions permitting but it could be worth a go.

Any other ideas or thoughts on this ?

Get a licence then, you don't need any qualifications to get one and they're going to scrap them anyway.

Back to the matter in hand, anyone interested or got any thoughts about the T1 net.

Get a licence because they are going to scrap them....Theres a strange kind of logic there......some where.
I have never had a CB licence...But I have also never stuck to CB regs. Any one who does not stick to the rules but has a CB licence is in effect doing the CB equivalent of running a motor cycle on moped road tax.
I like the idea of a net but the only CB set I currently have set up is my daughters York FM.
So I passed this test that allows me to twiddle with knobs, push buttons & call my self an Advanced !!!!!!!

That's a shame KC mate, would be nice for us all to try and make contact.

Looks like it could be 2 hours of me talking to myself.

Anybody else got any ideas or comments ?

TWO HOURS of you wittering on.

Count me out!

OK. Seriously though :D ... Unless we all live within about 10 miles of each other this isn't going to be practical. :?

Although, we can try....

Hi all,
the skip seems on the way out now, so i'm going to be on CEPT (midband) 38 all day sunday
i'm getting good reports locally right now, even though i have the worst aerial known to man hahah

27.385 /Cept 38
north wales is only 25 miles from me at the nearest point, we could do it!

oh Troutboy, shoot me an email when your psu is sorted, if we can't talk from my home, i can go mobile to a hill where i hear tons of Welsh Breakers

i'm operating mobile from Pym Chair, derbyshire tommorow around lunchtime ,
its a great high spot
CEPT 38 (27.385)
will be using TCB-880 (see reviews for details)
in case of heavy skip blocking the channel, switch to german channel 80 (26.955)
