Moonraker 4ft mobile aerial whip length required.

Here we go again...

Right, I have the above aerial, but need to know what the exact length of the original whip is please as the one I just bought has gone missing. Also, is it tapered and what's the diameter of the whip at its widest point at the base please?

If I can buy a replacement whip in future, at least I might be able to get it sorted.

£13 for a just over 4ft whip isn't too bad, but if I can get the length and then find a £1 5ft Springer aerial at a carboot sale to rob the whip from, then even better

The price of whips isn't too bad to be honest, it's just that when you add the £8 postage that most charge, it becomes a different matter.

This is the cheapest one so far (£11.49 posted) for a tapered whip long enough to cut down to size which is palatable:
