Re: magnum s-9
Simply turn the course tune until the frequency display ends in 12 (For 19 it would be 27.7812).
Modding these for UK legal l - 40 readout? Never heard of it being done, but seems completely unnecessary with the radio already having all the frequencies built in.

The radio might need realigned then . It should get more that +/- 3khz swing .

Re: magnum s-9
Have you tried getting on frequency from the closest channel below and above the frequency you want? The coarse may not be enough to go down from above, but might be enough to go up from below if you know what I mean.
If it won't drop onto frequency and if you don't want to fork out for a service and posyage each way, perhaps just keep it for proper 10m radio stuff and swap to a dedicated ukfm £5 rig when wanting to use the muppets.
Or...I'll swap you an Economy 40 radio for it

Re: magnum s-9
I was thinking the same thing Sammy. All of the S-9's I've seen are easily capable of reaching the UK frequencies by turning the coarse control anti clockwise. Yet, for some reason, this one has a deficit of 1.3khz (Even more when you consider it should reach the UK offset at around 9 O'clock).cb4ever104 wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 16:49 The radio might need realigned then . Perhaps he should give Nick a shout regarding a good tune up because it just doesn't sound right.

Re: magnum s-9
Excellent news. Did Nick give any feedback on what the issue was?
