Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,
Showing a complete lack of respect for the law.

I think he was talking about the Yaesu Sammy. They're known to work much more efficiently when they're empty!

If you've got a spare original Cobra 148 GTL-DX manual, I'll swap you for a Superstar 360FM one as I have 2 of them somewhere ;)

Hi Claude .

Yes . I have that electronic copy , but I want an original paper one . Sorry , I don't have the DX manual. Think I have the 148 GTL , but not the DX .

Salut

Its a Superstar 360fm Mk2
Thanks
Excellent radio..............back in the day.

Like anything vintage it's going to need some work doing to it either straight away or at some point of ownership if you buy one, I mean they're heading towards the 40 year old mark. If not been done recent-ish then defo will need a full recap job doing for starters.

My opinions are then........
1. Get hold of a working condition one for sensible money and spend a little bit of money + lot of DIY time (if able to work on radios) to bring up to scratch.

2. Same as No'1 but pass to somebody like Black Spirit to do the work (will cost more money taking this route then DIY)

3. Purchase a pampered one and pay stupid money for it just for the sake of having it.

It's a box of electronic components that you plug in and talk into and that's it, not worth a small fortune imo.
