Hello again,
I've acquired an Avanti Hermes Antenna. It is 1.6 meters tall and has a spring where the whip meets the bottom loading coil. Well I think that's what's inside. It came with a boot lid stile SO239 connection.
Has anyone got any experience of these ?
I might try it with a mag mount I've got on the car. Although I would like a more permanent fixing. I like the idea of being able to just unscrew it. For easy removal like the good old K40.
Cheers N Beers

You might have to do a currency exchange search but this should give you some idea.

Re: Avanti Hermes Antenna
If it's the same as the Sirio/CB Line ML145 versions then they're an average aerial for the size, although the Avanti looks a bit posher. I paid 49p for my CB Line one in mint condition lol.
I'd like to upgrade to a Sirio 4000 or 5000 Turbo at some point, but as I pretty much don't use CB's there's no mad rush
