Hi .
I want to get a new mic to my radio and I wonder can I use a 4-pin mic to my radio. The orig mic is a 6-pin. The radio is a CRE 8900.

Re: microphone.
Or just take the 4 pin off and wire it to a 6 pin plug. Be aware that one pin carries the full 13.8v so you will need to avoid that one.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Re: microphone.
If you have up-down frequency change buttons on the original changing to a 4 pin plug will probably mean that you will loose that function.

The CRE-8900 is wired the same as President 6 pin.
