The Tornado is a copy of the Comtell also known as the electronica special.
I had one a week in the 80s as it used to break on that plastic insulator

it is indeed a copy of the electronica special it worked very well , i changed mine many many moons ago as we had a full on gale and i watched the tip bend to below its base , talk about fishing for whales , next day i put an original A99 up , gave tornado to my mate who promptley said it was the best ariel he ever had and i worked brasil on the a99 very next day , a new dxcc for me so i was happy too

That's the version I had PP, by the time I finally took it down the fibreglass section was peppered with holes as I moved fixings around, they had a habit of opening up due to the bolts rubbing where they went through the tube. ISTR it had a strange arrangement at the base with the SO239 fixed into a short ali tube that was wired to a puck that sat inside the fibreglass tube.

For its faults it performed very well and looked the part on top of 30ft of scaffolding, in fact I only replaced it after acquiring a Sigma IV.
my friend grafter, seems like you are using a very offensive tone in the reply.
