Not just a CT net either. Funnily enough the poster who said that called into the south east net and spoke to myself. But ho hum.

Oh and just to add.... only 3 of the 48 counties failed to see a station entered into at least one of the 6 net logs.

For those wishing to see 108 division participation, sounds great. Needs someone to arrange it, maybe those who feel strongly about this (as is your perogative) should arrange a similar event?

First off, it is good to see activity levels in your area were good. It's a different story where I am unfortunately.

However, it's a real shame you weren't using legal SSB equipment. IMHO, that just completely misses the point and the entire purpose of the celebration.

Not sure how clever you thought you were posting that, but if your going to make an issue of it, i still have those videos i DL off you tube of you using non type approved radio, and broadcasting on that very same net.

Its just radio, lets face it, these days any activity is good.

Turn the radio on m8. IOW station worked into Cambridge and right up to the north. You do turn the radio on right ? Actually thinking it about it, it sort of makes sense now. Someone said there was an operator on the IOW and for the AAC event. Someone else said they were 10-1 so we sent someone over able to put a proper station up.

Started at 6.00 most people are still at work at 5.30

All in jest, take it easy maybe next year you could put a decent station up and cover IOW ?

Reading posts on the "June 27th Counties Private Chair Group" on Facebook, it looks like people have turned on each other now, stations who appear to have simply been trying to do their best, often in difficult conditions.

It's a real shame that a celebration of UK CB radio has turned into a total farce by a tiny minority of operators
