Seems to be the case. I knew that the original Grant 2 had been discontinued because the Premium version replaced it, but even this model appears to have been discontinued.

So that means there are currently no am/fm/ssb radios available from President as the Jackson 2 was killed off last year.
Surely there must be a new model coming this year? A McKinley with fm perhaps. We'll just need to wait.

You can still find a Grant 2 for sale on eBay though.

There's still the Lincoln 2 + available to buy new on eBay.

Shame about the G2 though. The premium version isn't bad at all.
Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

With the 3rd rate junk they've been dishing up in recent years that can only be a good thing, Maybe they'll make a president trump, But it wont be able to work into mexico

I have the Lincoln II+ and it's ok, but for folk looking for a legal ssb radio, there's isn't much of a choice now, if anything.

I've had a couple of Grant 2s but not the premium.

Shows up as being "discontinued" on some of the Spanish shops now as well . I bought one at the beginning , but never really used it . So I sold it on after a few months . A bit too much noise on RX . Anyway . I do hope they come out with something new , but let's face it . It will just be more of the same ol' junk that most people are pumping out . If they had any brains they would just reopen the factory in the Philippines and start a new improved production run of the Madison :)

Plenty are talking worldwide on 27.555 usb,
Some are too far up their own @rse to admit it,
Many happen to know otherwise dx-ing test free,
Showing a complete lack of respect for the law.

Really strange :(

That was the best 10m radio from President which had only 2 problems.
1. The G2 had not enough power for most of the linear amps.
2. The G2 Premium had too mach power which cannot be adjusted from the panel.
As we know the most of the linear amps such as KL/Texas Star/Ameritron etc need 18-20w for the best performance

In export my G2 premium was 5w fm/12w ssb,which was enough for a cb amp,like a kl200,kl203p and B300PS that I got the 3 for £50.

I have G2 (not premium). It has around 10w on SSB. My Texas Star DX500V pushes out only 350W SSB PEP (whistle). With my 20W Galaxy I am getting around 500W after the DX500V.

I had a couple of regular Grant 2's. the first one was terrible, the second was ok but not great.

Not a set that I will look back at with fondness in years to come that is for sure. It is certainly not a classic Uniden.

If the manufacturer chooses to build the radio for £5 cheaper,it just means they will not get the sales needed, still prefer the rx on older radios but.
