No, he doesn't need to chill out, he needs to learn some manners and better radio etiquette. He, and others, do it deliberately and if told or asked to move because of the splatter he always says it's not his problem.

What's special about the kenwood ts590 filter system which makes it better than other radios that makes it not get any splatter by the big kilowatt stations.

First of it all it is down conversion.
You can find on YT some real signal comparisons of 590 against other rigs.

Sherwood Engineering says different, but maybe they are not reliable labMrWeetabix wrote:I read on an internet forum that the TS590SG was crap....

Ch25 are you joking lol if you hav a yahoo on a over modulated radio and running any 50 watt amp or bigger that is 1/2 mile to 20 miles away your radios front end going to get splatter no matter what filter system is in it..period ! wether its a $500 kenwood or a $5 sears n robuck cb .!!

Re: 27.560 muppets
The only thing you can derive in comparing signals on different radios is how accurate or inaccurate the meters are, digital or analogue and whatever that reading is will have nothing to do with splatter unless you are comparing which one the splatter is giving you the highest or lowest S reading on.
