Ideas to make CB Radio Great Again ; )

Post by Classic »

Let us come together in this thread with ideas of how to get people back on the cb.

A repeater ? And i'm not talking about a parrot type.

I don't know what do you guys think ? Also does anyone have any sort of idea of how many active cb users there ?

Yes, a YouGov poll in January 2017 recorded 34 CB users in the UK, sadly one has since died and another got his radio nicked from his car as the thieves thought it was a NUC.

What about a big budget Holywood remake of Convoy or Smokey and the Bandit would probably help spark kids interest.

Sadly probably wont happen though.

It's not really even CB these days but 11m, CB died on it's arse about the turn of the Century, good luck to those that cling on to CB as a concept, but I'm afraid to say it's gone folks.

When the zombie apocalypse arrives and all data, internet and mobile systems have failed... the Raynet tabard will rule...

Mwoahahahhahaha

However there will be a lack of communications infrastructure for charity cycle rides when that day arrives as they will all be tied up. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, unless they are zombies on bicycles; that would be helpful.

I'm old enough to remember ''the golden days'' of CB, 50 people on every channel, Everyone and their granny had a CB, People forget how big it was back then, But like all crazes it was short lived, But great fun while it lasted
